Nelly and Ashanti have been in "talks for a Las Vegas residency: "I love Vegas, she loves Vegas. We both love Vegas"

NELLY and Ashanti have confirmed they’ve been in talks about a potential Las Vegas residency.

The couple, who welcomed their first child together, son Kareem, in July, teased that discussions have already taken place and hinted that it could become a reality in the future.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nelly shared, “It's funny, there were talks not too long ago about that very thing. I'm not gonna say too much more but hopefully everything continues the course. I love Vegas, she loves Vegas. We both love Vegas for very different reasons.”

If the pair do decide to take to the stage together in Las Vegas, they would join a prestigious list of major stars like Adele, Britney Spears, and Katy Perry, all of whom have staged successful residency shows in the entertainment capital.

Both artists rose to fame in the early 2000s, with Nelly, 50, scoring major hits like Ride Wit Me and Dilemma, the latter famously featuring Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child. He also collaborated with Ashanti on her track Body On Me alongside Akon.

Ashanti, 44, made her debut in 2002 with the smash hit Foolish and has since released six studio albums, though her last full album came in 2014. In 2022, she returned to music with the standalone tracks Baby (featuring Aitch) and Falling for You.
