LETITIA Wright was celebrated for her impactful work as an actress and producer at The Blacklisted Dinner held in her London hometown this week.

The "Black Panther" star was the guest of honour at the event, which showcased UK Black creatives and the global diaspora across various artistic fields, including screen, stage, literature, sound, and music.

Now in its second year, the intimate gathering, hosted by Akua Gyamfi, founder of The British Blacklist, provided an evening rich with culture, conversation, and meaningful connections among attendees.

Reflecting on the night, Wright shared on Instagram: “A beautiful night, to be honoured & celebrated by my peers means so much to me. It encourages me to keep going, to keep living for purpose & to continue building legacy.

“Thank you @akuatbbgyamfi & @thebritishblacklist Team for hosting the evening, honouring me with such style & love. To everyone who came out to share that moment with me. God bless you & thank you.”

The inaugural Blacklisted Brunch took place in October 2021, honouring actor Malachi Kirby.

This annual event will now align with the BFI London Film Festival, further highlighting and promoting the wealth of Black creativity within the film and arts community.
