Eddie Murphy’s son and Martin Lawrence’s daughter announce their engagement: “God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny”

IN an exciting new chapter for Hollywood's elite, Martin Lawrence's daughter, Jasmin, is set to marry Eddie Murphy's son, Eric, making the two iconic actors in-laws.

Jasmin shared the news of their engagement in an Instagram post that read: “We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!"

The couple, who have been dating since July 2021, met through Jasmin's uncle—not their famous fathers, who are long-time friends but didn’t play matchmaker in this case. Eric, 35, and Jasmin, 28, have been inseparable ever since.

Jasmin often credits their families for their relationship’s success, saying their shared experiences gave them a unique understanding of each other. Back in September, her father praised the couple and their union.

“It’s beautiful,” Martin told E! News’; “They both are beautiful young adults, and they get along so well.”

Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are both comedic legends in Hollywood, having starred together in films like Boomerang (1992) and Life (1999).
